Hello all, Here's what I saw in the record store yesterday here in Japan, home of Mr.Ken Ishii. (Note: I'm no K.I. expert, so sorry if it's all old news...) ---------------- Flare: Grip This has been out for a while here, so it's not even in the New Releases bin. There is already a remix album called "Re-Grip," containing remixes by a random assortment of Japanese techno/pop/indie artists. ---------------- Ken Ishii: Circular Motion + Overlap The Japanese label said "released ahead of the rest of the world," but this was a month ago, so it may already be out near the rest of you folks? Anyway, it's a CD containing the above two (new?) singles and their remixes, and I just had to buy it because of 1) the cool glow-in-the-dark anime cover art, and 2) the pretty darn impressive track list: 1. Circular Motion (Original Version) 2. " (Red Snapper Remix) 3. " (Patrick Pulsinger Remix) 4. " (Silver&Kash Remix) 5. Overlap (Original Version) 6. " (DJ Food Remix) 7. " (Dave Angel Remix) 8. " (Lemon D Remix) Not bad, eh? Well, this was my first K.I. purchase, and since I'm a newbie to IDM and was curious about all the above artists hotly discussed on this list, it was more than worth the price of a single! I really liked the Patrick Pulsinger one!! :) Playing with the glow-in-the-dark cover, Satoko <Zero length text item>
